About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant Service at Schofields Westminster. As an Early Childhood Teacher at Academics, you will create meaningful learning experiences and environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy. Compliance and child safety remain our highest priority. You will collaborate with fellow educators to build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families and the wider community, fostering a supportive environment that enhances children’s wellbeing, confidence, and lifelong love of learning.

This position is a full-time role – Monday to Friday between 6:30 am and 6 pm (rotating roster).

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a rich, engaging, and inclusive educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Support educators through intentional teaching, collaboration, and reflective practice.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and the team.
  • Follow Centre Policies & Procedures and the ECA Code of Ethics, maintaining exemplary records and conducting comprehensive program evaluations.
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, healthy environment that supports the well‑being of children, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the National Quality Framework, including laws, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre through active participation in our Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Use your voice to advocate for children, families, and the profession, enhancing our service’s professional identity.
  • Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Care from a nationally approved registered training organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of the National Quality Framework.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check (paid).
  • Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training.
